Last week, Trident Lifting Solutions celebrated World Lifting Day by hosting a dedicated knowledge-sharing event at our White City project, bringing together industry professionals and apprentices to promote safe lifting practices and inspire the next generation of the industry.
A tower crane cab was transported to site, positioned for display and set up in demonstration mode, giving attendees the opportunity to experience the crane environment first-hand. Apprentices from both Statom Group and Berkeley St James attended the event, gaining valuable insight into the lifting industry and the career opportunities it offers.

Throughout the day, attendees took part in a series of informative sessions delivered by experienced members of the Trident team, covering key aspects of lifting operations, including:
- Tower crane technology and operations – A Technician provided an overview of tower crane components, functions and controls, while sharing the crane operator’s perspective.
- Lifting accessories and inspections – A Crane Supervisor delivered practical demonstrations, highlighting inspection requirements and best practice for lifting accessories.
- Crane management and legislation – Our Lifting Operations Manager delivered a session covering crane management responsibilities, relevant legal requirements and the effective management of tower crane operations.
World Lifting Day provides an opportunity to recognise the vital role lifting professionals play across the construction industry while promoting best practice, innovation and continuous learning. Events like these reinforce Trident Lifting Solutions’ commitment to developing future talent, sharing industry expertise and maintaining the highest standards of safety across every lifting operation.
